Maternity with Caroline and Will Bess

Caroline is a fifth grade teacher at North Brook, where I work. I was looking for a maternity subject since I had never done a maternity shoot before and she just happened to be "ripe"! She and Will are high school sweethearts, and the baby on the way is their first, and it's a boy! We did the shoot on Caroline's parents and aunt's land. Great backgrounds! Hope you enjoy my favorites:

This pose was a Pinterest inspiration. I think it would
have worked better a few weeks ago, they could hardly
get their arms around that belly!

I love this one because I feel like Baby Bess will
look at this when he older and love it! Such love.

This is MY FAVORITE! Something about it...

The belly shot! Love how her sweater coordinates with the leaves.

Sweet parents-to-be!

One of the great things about this type of shoot is that two adults are easy to pose. So it went real quick and I got the shots I wanted to get. Tomorrow is Caroline's baby shower at school, and I am excited for her picture CD to be on her gift table!

Cody Hylton

Cody is a Senior at North Lincoln High School. I used to work with his mom, Vicki, at Rock Springs Elementary School. Bless him, he did NOT want to be the center of anyone's attention during this photo shoot, and in downtown Belmont, there are people everywhere. He was a trooper and I got some great shots. Here they are:

Is he not so handsome?

Seriously.

My favorite.

I asked for his best GQ look.
I got something even better :)

I loved doing this shoot! Thanks Vicki.

Chroback/McNiffe Family

I met Liz working at Rock Springs Elementary several years ago. When I left RSES, Liz was one of the 4th grade teachers to take my place. She works with THE BEST team ever. I miss them! Since I've left RSES, I've seen Liz here and there at Left/Right/Center parties. She called me several weeks ago to ask if I'd do a family of 17 photo shoot. Of course, I said yes. Her stipulation was that the photos NOT look like a police line up. We went to Jetton Park in Cornelius, NC on a very chilly afternoon. Here are my four favorites of the non-police lineup pictures:

LOVE the focus on "Grandma and Grandpa"

Again, so sweet.

I know you can't see their faces, but I love the fact
that they're holding hands, gazing out at the lake.

The cousins were SO EXCITED to jump!

You'd think getting 17 people to do what you wanted them to do would be tough...not at all. This family was so easy to work with. And I loved all the pictures I got. Thanks Liz!

Dellinger-Boyles Family

Once my FB fan page hit 100 likes, I offered a free mini session to a lucky person who liked a specific status. My first "winner" didn't think I was legit, so I did a second drawing and Jenni Dellinger-Boyles won. I was excited to have someone win who I had never met. Jenni is part of the Rock Springs family,  and knew of me through a few teachers who work at the school.  I met Jenni and her four adorable children at Red Wolf Farm at 3:00 pm in bright sunlight...excuse the shadows!

Here are my favorites:

Love her freckles!

Sweet sisters

Lacie

Sadie

Korin

Dodge

What a fun place Red Wolf Farm is! I know we will take Finn next year when he can run around and enjoy all the activities. Thanks, Jenni, for letting me capture your kids!

The Milnes

These adorable twin boys are miracles. Born way before they (and their parents) were ready, they are now growing and happy! However, because of their history, not many people are allowed in the home to visit so that the boys don't get sick. Just a common cold could cause major health issues. With that said, I felt extremely HONORED to be invited into their home to photograph the babies (and their parents).

Angie and I met through my husband (we weren't married then) about 9 years ago. She was the band director at Crest High School in Shelby, NC and needed a guard instructor. Enter Shanti. We worked together for about 4 years, but have remained friends.

Her boys are Andrew and Owen, and her husband is Dennis. Here are my faves:

Andrew

Owen

Owen and Mommy

Daddy and his Boys

Ready for Halloween

Sweet baby feet!

Can't wait to get my lens (and hands) on these boys as they grow through the years!

Travis and Courtney Hays Wedding

Courtney is one of my best friend's sisters. I don't even remember when I met her, but I know it was through Leslie Killian. I was so honored that Courtney asked me to shoot her wedding. The ceremony and reception were at the Peacock Inn in Newton, NC. I could have posted over 100 "favorite" pictures but narrowed it down to fifteen. Here they are!

Beautiful hair

Love the silly photos

Beautiful bouquets (and ladies)

So sweet after the first dance

They were FAR too nice to one another

A sweet moment between Bride and Groom

End of the evening...everyone was having a blast!

A sweet moment between Sisters remembering their Mom

Pink Toms <3

Oh my Heavens isn't she cute?

Such a handsome ring bearer

Sneak peak of the guests arriving

Sand ceremony

Man and wife after the ceremony

My fave!

This was such a fun wedding to shoot. Got to spend some time with my friends, enjoy good food, and capture precious moments. Courtney and Travis, I hope you have a happy life together!

Crawford Wedding

I think my last post was Leighann's bridals...so I don't need to go into detail about how I know Leighann again. Her wedding day was perfect. Warm, supposed to rain but didn't. Sunny. Everything went off without a hitch, and if there was something that went wrong, I didn't see it! Here are the top 20 pics (in my opinion) from her special day:

A Pinterest idea

A sweet kiss post-ceremony

They exchanged ring-pops!

The girls and the groom

The guys

Loved the white fence!

Couldn't resist a dip

Post-cake smashed in the face kiss

Must've been good!

First dance

This kid was hilarious!

Hanger hand-crafted by the groom

The farewell was with popcorn (hence the funny faces of the bride and groom)

Beautiful bride, Leighann

Bridal bouquet

Barefoot beauties

Three generations of wedding rings

A quiet moment before the ceremony

A sweet moment between the bride and her father before walking down the aisle

Bride and Groom as the pastor blesses their marriage

Not sure why the pictures are all out of order...but I hope you enjoyed them as much as I enjoyed taking them!
