Matt & Kesha ~ Engaged!

Kesha is a 3rd grade teacher at the school where I work. And of course, being the only "single" teacher at our school for so long, everyone was forever trying to figure out who to match her up with. Kesha is not one to tell everyone her business, but one day she started smiling more. Through the grapevine, I started hearing stories about secret ice cream deliveries...and I knew she had found true love! Not too long ago, Kesha walked into my office with a tape dispenser asking me if I noticed anything different about it (as her hand is covering the whole thing). I looked, and looked, and couldn't find a thing awry. She basically had to jam her engagement ring in my face for me to get the hint! I was so thrilled for her.  Matt proposed at the Biltmore Estate, so how appropriate was it to have their Engagement session at the very location? It turned out to be a beautifully perfect day. Here are my favorites:

My favorite <3

So, this one is funny. I originally had them kissing in this
location, when a seven-year-old(ish) boy walks up and
says, "Ewwwwww!" Cracked us all up. His mom made him apologize.
The kissing one didn't turn out...but this one still has the memories :)

So, here's the kiss minus the 7-year-old boy!

At the farm

Laying down on a hill without rolling down it was a challenge.

Trying to recreate a Pinterest idea...success? Yes!

Matt, I know she's hot, but her eyes are up HERE!

Sweetness.

Another Pinterest idea...

Can't handle it. They are too cute.

Yes, Matt, you got more "likes" than the baby! Hope you two had as much fun as I did capturing your love at the Biltmore. Wishing you many moons of happiness together as husband and wife.

NOW ANNOUNCING...Mommy and Me Mini Sessions (Grandma, too)!

If you're like me, you avoid the camera. I live behind it and try to stay away from the focal point. Every once in a while I'll ask my husband to take a picture of Finn and me...every ONCE in a while. The only reason why I jump in a few is because the pictures I most treasure from childhood are those that include my mom.

I hope that some day Finn and his wife and kids look back on all the pictures of the two of us and think how adorable a pair we are. That being said, I need to step out from behind the viewfinder and allow my husband to capture some precious images of Finn and me.

These photos have inspired me to offer Mommy and Me sessions (Grandma, too) in the months of April and May!
