Andrea contacted me for a photo shoot after seeing her sitters' prom pictures. I love getting new clients that way! We decided on an early June shoot in downtown Belmont (perhaps one of my absolute favorite places to shoot, and I should probably not use it so much). I love Belmont's railroad and rail cars, brick walls, and windows.
When I arrived, I got my equipment and lighting set up thinking we had about 10 minutes to get in a full session (typically 1.5-2 hours long) before the rain came. The clouds were dark and low, and the wind was starting to pick up. Well, we ended up with about 45 minutes before the monsoon hit, and when I say monsoon, I mean MONSOON. After the session ended I tried to stay covered beneath an awning for about 20 minutes before I decided the rain wasn't going anywhere, and had to race to my car.
I am glad I got enough shots to complete the print requirements of a full session, but I was really hoping for another good 20 minutes, at least, to get some more wall/window/town clock backdrops in.
I had a lot of favorites from this session. The Baxa family is stunningly gorgeous! All three children are beautiful. And let me tell you, little Genevieve was BORN to be in front of a camera. As soon as she saw the lens pointed at her, she began to pose! I love it!
Here is some eye candy for you:
RHYS
GENEVIEVE
Loving on their Papa
I mean, really. Gorgeous!
AUBRIANA
^ I told you she knows how to pose!
Thanks Andrea and Robert for letting me rush you through Belmont to capture your beautiful family before the monsoon ensued! Hope Genevieve's knee recovered.
