Cline Farm Mini Sessions

Belmont is one of my go-to places for pictures, and recently I have been doing a lot of shoots at Cline Farm in Lincolnton as well. I wanted to share two mini-sessions that were done in early summer. Filled with sprinkling rain, ant bites, and extreme heat...I am so happy with how these families photographed! Both the Hollis family and the Bumgardner family are friends of friends, and I love getting to know clients through mutual friendships!

Abby and Jason, Lesley and Brad, thanks for letting me photograph your sweet families!

The Baxas

Andrea contacted me for a photo shoot after seeing her sitters' prom pictures. I love getting new clients that way! We decided on an early June shoot in downtown Belmont (perhaps one of my absolute favorite places to shoot, and I should probably not use it so much). I love Belmont's railroad and rail cars, brick walls, and windows.

When I arrived, I got my equipment and lighting set up thinking we had about 10 minutes to get in a full session (typically 1.5-2 hours long) before the rain came. The clouds were dark and low, and the wind was starting to pick up. Well, we ended up with about 45 minutes before the monsoon hit, and when I say monsoon, I mean MONSOON. After the session ended I tried to stay covered beneath an awning for about 20 minutes before I decided the rain wasn't going anywhere, and had to race to my car.

I am glad I got enough shots to complete the print requirements of a full session, but I was really hoping for another good 20 minutes, at least, to get some more wall/window/town clock backdrops in.

I had a lot of favorites from this session. The Baxa family is stunningly gorgeous! All three children are beautiful. And let me tell you, little Genevieve was BORN to be in front of a camera. As soon as she saw the lens pointed at her, she began to pose! I love it!

Here is some eye candy for you:

Thanks Andrea and Robert for letting me rush you through Belmont to capture your beautiful family before the monsoon ensued! Hope Genevieve's knee recovered.

The Bolins

Laura and I taught fourth grade together at Rock Springs several years ago. I actually remember meeting Steve right around when I got engaged, and really knew he was the one for Laura at my wedding. They were inseparable and spent the entire night, literally, on the dance floor in each other's arms. Like nobody else existed. And a few short years later, Jack is born! And what a cutie he is! I gave Laura a photo shoot as a part of her shower gift and was so excited to use it to capture Jack, and their perfect little family. Here are my favorites:

I hope I get the chance to capture Jack's sweetness as he grows!
