Fall Family Mini Sessions

If you know me, at all, you know I am a planner.

I was already planning my Back to School Mini Sessions before school was even out in June. Here it is the end of August and I'm planning for October. You may think I'm crazy. However, my number one priority is my family. I like to set aside my "photo shoot weekends" and then plan the empty weekends for family fun. October 12th is the day I wanted to do fall pictures because I think the leaves will be stunning. One of my favorite places near where I live is Jetton Park. It's located in Cornelius on Lake Norman. There is a 1.1 mile loop around the park that gives great opportunity for color. There are benches, bridges, gazebos, bench swings, hills, and a sandy beach. What could be better? I'm not sure if they still charge entry into the park in October, but if they do and you're a resident of a county other than Mecklenburg, you'll have to pay $5 cash to enter.

So, I am taking 10 families that day at the park. Spaces are open beginning at 10:00 am with the last session at 4:30 pm. You pay $50 to me (and possibly $5 at the gate) and you receive a 25-minute family photo shoot at various locations within the park. You receive a photo CD with 8-10 edited, high resolution images and print release. Turn around time will be less than 2 weeks.

To book, you can call me at 980.429.0401
You can email me at SClancyPhotography@gmail.com

See you at the park!

The Tiptons

Ashley was (and I hate saying that in the past tense) a teacher at North Brook Elementary, where I currently work. She has been entering all of my contests, eagerly awaiting a win...to no avail. So I suppose she just caved in to buying a session of her own. I love coming up with ideas of locations for sessions, but love even more when clients have something or somewhere special in mind. So we headed to Dodgin's Barn, which is somewhere in between Denver and Lincolnton. It is an amazing, quaint, and charming location for photoshoots! Even better, you can get married there! Anyway, I was thrilled to be able to take pictures of Ashley, Brandon, and their precious Sawyer...who has the most amazing smile! She smiled at everything! Well, until you put her inside of a wooden crate, or a chest...and then she was done. I got some pretty hilarious shots of her scowling at us, but decided not to post those. Usually when I go through and select my pictures, I don't post the entire session. But how could I not? Here is the Tipton's entire mini-session. Enjoy!

and, my favorite....

I love how much they love each other. It's so evident in how happy Sawyer is. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to photograph your family, Ashley!

Taylor's Bridals

Bless Taylor's heart. It was hot, and there were bugs everywhere, throughout the entire 2 1/2 hours it took to complete our shoot. She was a real trooper! We started in the gardens at a church in downtown Charlotte, then completed the shoot at a park...the bad photographer in me can't remember or find the names of either location. Shame. Here are my favorites:

...and I hope to post a blog about the wedding here soon!
